At the end of 2017, the total market value of the Foundation’s investment portfolio was $307,389,913, which represented an increase of $22.1 million over the market value at the end of 2016. Grants made for the fiscal year ended 2017 were $12,354,588, which represented an 18.9% increase compared to 2016’s $10,387,899. The Foundation makes multi-year commitments to its grantees. At the end of 2017, the outstanding grant commitments totaled $8,858,925. These payments will be made during the course of the next five years.
